I never thought of Robin as fat. I know she gained weight over the course of the strip, but don’t most people gain over time? There and in this version she seems to have an average body type.

I love this new revamp of your comic so far… I even “lost it” at the title of this strip today… Lol

I liked that Robin gained weight in the daily strip, and I like that she hasn’t lost it in the webcomic.

To be honest, I kinda played it for laughs at first and it was meant to be temporary. But then I thought to myself: ‘Why?’ Then I thought to myself some more.

Cory, I love your strip….don’t change a thing!!!! They are more human than a lot of real people I know(yeah, sad isn’t it?), thanks for keeping it like life really is, not the way we think it should be.

from the first WYH universe, if I remember correctly, Robin had a nasty breakup with a guy and drowned her sorrows in food until she was what she is today. I also seem to remember that Quincy and Robin occasionally found that each was exactly what the other was looking for! I thought that was part of today’s humor.

Something like that. Here it is: http://www.gocomics.com/watchyourhead/2008/09/01.

I didn’t play it for laughs as much as I thought. The jokes were more about Robin’s insecurity.

As for Robin and Quincy, they had a(n implied) one-nighter that Robin went on to regret for the rest of time. They have kind of a… history here too. But we’ll get to that in due time.

Saturday picture, is that skylab falling out of the sky on their unwatching heads?

Something satellite-y. No story significance (that I know of yet).

There are two important issue here. If Robin accepts herself as she is, no one else’s opinion matters, and that’s an important message for young people. The other is health. With weight issues, it’s always difficult to balance accepting oneself and doing what’s best to be healthy. But losing weight to be more physically attractive to satisfy a misplaced social priority?? No.

Nicely put! I especially liked that you pointed out how no one seemed to have a problem with Quincy being fat. But mostly I’m thrilled your comic is continuing on in this form, because I was much unhappy when my local paper had dropped it. I think that just about covers the range of emotions I’m feeling today. 🙂 (whew!)

Thanks, Jonny T. Better fit for me online anyway. So it all works out.
